Who we are
Loam was created by Sophie Ridding in 2014.
Sophie originally worked as a set designer working on sets for clients such as British & American Vogue. She launched Loam after years of eating carb-heavy on-set catering, cooked with little consideration to how it made you feel during, and after.
Understanding the importance of eating well in a demanding job, as well as having a passion for cooking, she set about researching and creating a more nutritious and health-driven approach to catering – and Loam was born
What we do
We source all of our produce as locally and seasonally as possible, and our dairy, meat, and eggs are organic and free-range. We use locally caught fish and locally reared meat, and all of our dishes are made from scratch. We also make our own vinegars, chutneys, and kimchi and the list is still growing! We love bringing together simple, fresh, seasonal ingredients, to create beautiful food which makes your heart sing.
We specialize in cooking on location, and have a traveling kitchen set up - as long as we have access to water and electricity, we can cook anywhere. We also deliver to locations all over the UK, from all over Sussex, to London and beyond.
Previously based in Clapton, East London, Loam is now based on the Sussex coast just outside Brighton, in Shoreham-By-Sea.
Loam is available for any catering request, shoot or gathering.
